Phillipstown overlooked on top 10 freak villages

Angry readers from Phillipstown in the Rhunmney Valley have been up in arms claiming they were overlooked in the Top Ten Freak Villages in South Wales, Edition 1 of The Rag.

Readers from Philipstown (AKA Monkey Island)have claimed that the Rag hadn’t carried out the proper research. Mary Gibbonlips a single mother from the Island has accused the Rag of being amateur and naïve. Mary Gibbonlips stated, “That Rag is a f-king disgrace, if they’d have bothered to spend a few hours up here on the Island they would have seen for themselves that we’re one seriously strange bowl of fruit”.

She continued “Where do you think they got all the actors for the Planet of The Apes from and where did you think Michael Jackson adopted his pet Monkey from. Bubbles was my first cousin.”Many residents were said to be in shock and couldn’t believe that neighbours Fochriw and Aberbargoed had made the top 10 when they were left out.

We sent our reporter Bernard Ringpiece up to Phillipstown 4 weeks ago to find out if there were any truth in these allegations. Sadly he hasn’t been seen since. There really is NO ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES.
